The Pressure to Be Beautiful — Is It Worth It?
Have you ever found yourself scrolling through Instagram, admiring all the beauty influencers—yet feeling a little... off?
Lately, I’ve noticed an explosion of beauty-related content online. The makeup tutorials, the flawless selfies, the salon visits, the skincare hauls—it’s everywhere. Part of me thinks,
“Wow, I want to do something like that too.”
But another part of me feels something else. Something heavier.
Sometimes I wonder... Aren’t they tired?
To stay beautiful today, you often need to do so much—cosmetic procedures, weekly salon appointments, expensive skincare routines, strict diets. I understand the need for self-care and confidence boosts.
Sometimes, a beauty ritual can feel amazing.
But when it becomes a daily obligation, I start to question:
Who are we doing this for? And why?
There’s one influencer I follow. She’s stunning—flawless skin, perfect hair, every photo polished like a magazine cover. But in one of her videos, I caught a moment where she looked... sad. Exhausted.
Maybe I’m wrong. But something about her eyes felt real, like she was holding back.
And it made me ask myself:
Is it really that important to look extraordinary every day?
My answer?
No.Being extraordinary isn't about how you look—it's about how you live.
Being your authentic self is the most beautiful thing you can be.
You don’t have to chase someone else’s idea of perfection.
Don’t try to become someone you’re not.
When you explore and embrace who you truly are, your unique charm naturally shines through—without you even trying.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t take care of yourself.
Post that selfie. Get that facial.
Try new makeup if you want to.But do it for you. Not for likes. Not for attention. Not to compete.
✨Do your best—but make sure it’s for yourself.
And above all, don’t lose yourself in the process.
See you next time♡
